i know the date says september 1, but i wrote this very late on august 31. and august 31 is my sister, joanne's, birthday! happy yakudoshi year, jo! thankfully her birthday party is going to be later in september, so i'll be able to make it back home.
this picture was taken in san francisco in 2007. it's an oldie, but it's one of my favorites.
and speaking of people back home, my mom and aunty arrive for a visit on thursday. so excited!
